Fear of Santa
It is an age old tradition for children to sit in Santa's lap for a picture at Christmas. I am getting older each year, like the rest of us, and I am starting to assume that we are sadists of some sort. Our children are obviously not getting any type of enjoyment or pleasure out of this tradition. They eventually come to an understanding when they are much older, around the age of 5-6. And after much coaxing, that they need to tell Santa their wants, and desires for Christmas. I just wish I could remember back to the first time I was in Santa's lap and let out my first scream, and let the tears flow. I guess it is something to continually ponder, and I guess our children's, children will probalby experience the same adventures.
